Important — please read carefully

NIS2Pathway is a practical readiness support tool. It does not constitute legal advice, and using it does not guarantee compliance with the NIS2 Directive or any other regulation.

1. No legal advice

Nothing on this platform or in any output generated by NIS2Pathway constitutes legal advice. The content, assessments, action plans, policy templates and reports are provided for informational and practical support purposes only.

You should consult a qualified legal professional, cybersecurity auditor or your national supervisory authority for advice specific to your organisation's legal obligations under the NIS2 Directive.

2. No compliance guarantee

Completing the NIS2Pathway readiness scan, implementing the suggested controls, and generating the policy documents does not guarantee that your organisation is legally compliant with the NIS2 Directive (2022/2555) or its national implementation.

Compliance is determined by your national competent authority based on a comprehensive review. NIS2Pathway helps you prepare, but the final assessment lies with regulators.

3. Readiness scores are indicative

The NIS2 readiness scores and domain scores generated by the platform are based on your self-reported answers. They are indicative of your current posture relative to NIS2 requirements, not a certified or audited assessment.

Scores may not reflect all factors relevant to your specific context, sector or national implementation.

4. Policy templates

Policy document templates generated by NIS2Pathway are starting points. They require review and adaptation by competent professionals before use in your organisation. They are not tailored legal documents.

5. Your responsibility

You remain fully responsible for your organisation's compliance with the NIS2 Directive and applicable national law. NIS2Pathway does not accept liability for regulatory penalties, breaches or enforcement actions arising from your compliance posture.

6. Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to keep the platform content accurate and up to date with NIS2 requirements. However, NIS2 implementation varies by EU member state, and requirements may change. Always verify against the most current version of the Directive and your national transposition law.
